Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cardamom
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 sticks (8 ounce) unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 6 ounces bittersweet chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 1 cup buttermilk
