Almond and Blackberry Cake

Ingredients

For cake:

  • 3/4 cup + 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 8 ounce almond paste
  • 1 cup (8 ounces) butter, at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon orange blossom water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 6 large eggs, at room temperature

For topping:

  • 12 ounces blackberries
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Juice of half a meyer lemon
  • 1/4 teaspoon orange blossom water, optional
  • Bittersweet (72%) chocolate curls
