  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 19-ounces can white beans (navy or cannellini beans), drained and rinsed
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons minced chives, optional
